my father, leonard, a wonderful man, died quite peacefully this morning. he lived a rich and full 90+ years. if you knew him, put on some louie armstrong or john coltrane. cheerio, dadio! with much love, your son, rhine.

One of my most memorable moments was Sunday, November 7th at 5:30 a.m. In the darkness with dawn only a tiny glint in the lower sky, the air at Angkor Wat was whisked and swirled with incense in honor of Leonard’s artistic and benevolent soul. When I looked at the Buddha at the end of a candlelit open air hallway, his slightly smiling lips appeared to curve up even further. It was a deeply peaceful moment where life felt as if it had come full circle for a great man, unrecognized in his most recent lifetime.
