keith richards, musician, born london, england (1943), and anita pallenberg , born rome, italy (1944), actress, witch, and mother of three of richard’s five children

both richards and pallenberg had “the look” and dressed as their status in those heady days of the late ’60’s, allowed them to, though at that time they were thrown out of grand hotels for being too casual. richards schtick is well known, pallenberg, however, less so.

she appeared with jane fonda in roger vadim’s classic film “barbarella”, and with mick jagger in the excellent nick roeg & donald cammell film “performance”. keith looked young and beautiful then partly because he wore much of anita’s wardrobe. she sang the “whoo-whoo’s” on “sympathy for the devil”, with mick’s girlfriend, singer, marianne faithfull. pallenberg was one of the few women who had any say in the music the stone’s produced. if pallenberg disliked a mix, she was the only one that could convince jagger to use another take. she was richards’ girlfriend from 1967 – 1979. both shared an interest in witchcraft, heroin, and among other things, clothes. both richards and pallenberg remain good friends. pallenberg and faithfull attend stones concerts together when they are in the same country. neither pallenberg or richards have gone under the knife, so they share amazingly craggy faces of experience. both are true originals.
